Joe Goldberg returns to where it all began in the final season of ‘You.’

Get excited. Everyone’s favourite serial killer psychopath is back. That’s right, Joe Goldberg is returning for one final killing spree and perhaps a little long-overdue justice.

Netflix has unveiled the trailer for the fifth and final season of You, set to premiere April 24. Picking up three years after the events of season four,

The finale season finds Penn Badgley’s Joe returning to where it all began, New York City.

The official synopsis reads:

“In the epic fifth and final season, Joe Goldberg returns to New York to enjoy his happily ever after… until his perfect life is threatened by the ghosts of his past and his own dark desires.” 

Joe has attempted to find some normality by helping his latest partner, Kate (Charlotte Ritchie), run the company she inherited from her father. Who just happens to be one of Joe’s victims from season four. He’s also raising his son Henry, and he has settled in now as a member of the New York elite. Once more, going into familiar territory that’s about to get all out of control when he finds a new object of obsession. A playwright called Bronte (Madeline Brewer). Could this be the person who will finally understand Joe? Do pigs fly?

Throw in a little corporate warfare with Kate’s sister Maddie (Anna Camp), half-brother Teddy (Griffin Matthews), and a social media-driven manhunt that is set to reveal Joe’s past crimes. We’re gonna be in for one hell of a ride.
