The first Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer is here!
The first trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day has finally arrived, and it’s got this fan giddy with excitement! The trailer reveals the aftermath of 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home, and things are dramatic.
We get a glimpse of Peter Parker’s life, now operating as a superhero on his own without the backing of The Avengers, in a world that has forgotten him. One of the themes emphasised throughout the trailer is that of change, and it looks like everyone’s favourite friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man has seen his fair share of it and judging by the trailer, there’s a lot more coming, with the webslinger experiencing the beginnings of a mutation. Could this be a link to the X-Men being introduced into the Marvel Cinematic Universe?
The story of Spider-Man: Brand New Day will include several familiar faces from the broader MCU, such as Jon Bernthal’s Punisher. Mark Ruffalo’s Bruce Banner, aka the Hulk, whom Tom Holland’s web-slinger will seek help dealing with the new mysterious mutation.
Of course, Zendaya’s MJ and Jacob Batalon’s Ned return and will obviously be instrumental to the plot, with Peter missing his ex-girlfriend and best friend, who still have no memory of him. There are some pretty exciting action scenes featuring ninjas in red, which many will know as the Hand. But what is super exciting is the return of Michael Mando reprising his role as Mac Gargan, aka The Scorpion, who was initially introduced in Spider-Man: Homecoming.
However, what is rather interesting is that we get a peek at a new character with a mask at one point, causing some pretty big explosions. This has fans believing that it could be potentially Sadie Sink’s currently unnamed character that is shrouded in mystery. However, many are speculating that she could be the MCU’s new Jean Grey. But no confirmation has come for that one just yet. I’m sure this mystery will be revealed all in good time.

Here’s the latest synopsis for the upcoming film:
After the record-breaking global success of Spider-Man: No Way Home, Spider-Man: Brand New Day marks an entirely new chapter for Peter Parker and Spider-Man. Four years have passed since the events of No Way Home, and Peter is now an adult living entirely alone, having voluntarily erased himself from the lives and memories of those he loves. Crime-fighting in a New York that no longer knows his name, he’s devoted himself entirely to protecting his city — a full-time Spider-Man — but as the demands on him intensify, the pressure sparks a surprising physical evolution that threatens his existence, even as a strange new pattern of crimes gives rise to one of the most powerful threats he has ever faced.
And can we just take a moment to appreciate the creative choices behind this scene?
