Check out the trailer for the new queer Aussie drama, ‘Invisible Boys.’
Stan Australia has just released the first trailer for their new LGBTIQ+ series, Invisible Boys.
Based on the award-winning book by Western Australian author Holden Sheppard, set against the backdrop of the 2017 same-sex marriage plebiscite, the story follows a group of young gay men in the coastal town of Geraldton after one of them is outed on social media following an encounter with an older married man. As the boys form a tight-knit friendship, they find solace and support in one another as they embark on a journey of self-discovery in a world that often renders them invisible.
The adaptation features a mixture of old and emerging Australian talent. The boys, played by Joseph Zada, Aydan Calafiore, Zach Blampied, and Joe Klocek, are joined by the likes of Pia Miranda, Shareena Clanton, Myles Pollard, and Elaine Crombie.
Check out the trailer below.
The series was created for television, written and directed by Nicholas Verso, alongside an impressive writing team, including the author of the book, Holden Sheppard. The pair are also joined by Enoch Mailangi, Allan Clarke, and Delan Greene.
All ten episodes of Invisible Boys drop on Stan Australia on February 13.
